Temporary Skill Shortage (Subclass 482)
This visa enables employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
You may be eligible for 2 year or 4 year work visas depending on what list your occupation falls under. For those occupations on the MTSSL List you have pathways to permanent residency after 3 years on your 482 via the Subclass 186 Visa transition stream.
Skilled Regional Sponsored Visa (Subclass 494)
This visa enables regional employers to address identified labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where employers can’t source an appropriately skilled Australian worker.
The subclass 494 visa is a 5 year temporary visa, but has a pathway to permanent residency after 3 years by way of the 191 visa.
